Laminar Medica (CE) s.r.o appoint a new General Manager

Laminar Medica have appointed a new General Manager for their plant in Vodnany (South Bohemia).

The new GM, Milan Kozel, replaced Neil Freeman who was temporarily in charge of the Czech plant. Milan Kozel (42) has all-round general management experience in Czech organisations. In his early career, he gained sales and business development experience in the petroleum and healthcare industries, before running foreign investment manufacturing companies within the food and dairy industries. Over the last 10 years he worked as a General Manager for Friesland Czech Republic Ltd. (dairy products) and Saaz Hop Products Ltd (production and distribution of hop products).

“We believe that a Czech GM is the best solution for Laminar because he knows the local business as well as intercultural habits”, says Stuart Allcock, Managing Director, adding: “The new GM will be responsible for fulfilling the 2006 objectives of Laminar Medica (CE) s.r.o. and the main challenge for him will be building the sales network in Central Europe.”

Laminar Medica started to operate in Vodnany a year ago, supplying mainly the customers in Central and Eastern Europe. To be able to fully satisfy customers’ needs a moulding plant was installed at the end of last year so now most of the Laminar products can be manufactured directly in Vodnany. The company employs 30 people and beside long-term customers, serves new customers from Hungary, Russia, Romania and of course from the Czech Republic.
